On October 18th ,Bay Area T.A.T.A. has organized Backyard Batukamma a unique way to celebrate our tradition of Telangana Bathukamma Festival
Due to this Pandemic situation and community became standstill and confined to their homes. Festivals are just being a dream to be celebrate. T.A.T.A President Shri. Bharath Madadi garu who came with the unique idea of celebrating Batukamma Festival in backyard to continue the signature Tradition of Telangana. President along with his EC Team made this initiative and w wanted everyone should make sure to celebrate and pray the Goddess Bathukamma and Durga Devi to eradicate this pandemic and make our lives normalized.
On this front T.A.T.A Bay Area team under the leadership of Srinivasa Manapragada T.A.T.A Executive Director & Board of Director – Cultural Affairs with his Bay Area Team Saraswathi Varakur Regional Vice President, Nanda Devi Srirama, Regional Coordinator, Nithyasri KS, Regional Coordinator, Prasad Vuppalapu, Standing Committee Chair and Ravi Nethi, Community Services Co Chair Sohail Ahamed, Regional Coordinator organized This unique way of celebrating the Bathukamma Festival.
The event started with Jyothi Prajvalana ( Lighting the Lamp) followed by Sri Gowri Mata & Sri. Durga Devi Pooja by chanting mantras by Nithyasri KS and Vijaya followed by traditional Batukamma dance by ladies. Speaking Nanda Devi Srirama who was the Lead Organizer for this event mentioned that everyone who came to celebrate maintained social distancing and also made sure the pandemic precautionary measures and celebrated this traditional floral festival of Telangana.
Regional Vice President Saraswathi Varakur thanked founder Shri Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy garu, for giving gigantic platform & thanked Advisory Council, Chair Vijaypal Reddy garu, Co – Chair Shri. Dr.Harinath Policherla garu, and Advisory Member Shri. Mohan Patalolla garu, and all the members of the Executive Committee for giving this opportunity. Special thanks to Srinivas Manapragada garu for the constant support and encouragement throughout the event and to all Bay Area T.A.T.A Womens Team, it’s was a great to day with blessings to see 9 Navaratri T.A.T.A Bay Area Devi’s coming forward to host and made a memorable T.A.T.A Bay Area Backyard Bathukamma & Dussera Celebrations. Right from the entrance Floral decorations with authentic and traditional muggus, It was as if we were India before Kakatiya Kala Thoranam is a historical arch in the Warangal district, of the Indian state of Telangana Warangal celebrating Further thanked the organizing team of Bay Area Nanda Devi Srirama who lead the whole Bathukamma efforts, RC Nityashri KS for her Bathukamma dance coordination and prayer pooja, thanks to Prasad Vuppalapu & Ravi Nethi for Food Arrangnments. A big thanks to all the Bay Area Beautiful and lovely Ladies who we’re part of this celebration event success.
Srinivasa Manapragada applauded all the event organizers and mentioned special thanks to Ms. Shalini & Mr. Rajesh Garu and Rithvik for giving their beautiful backyard space for the celebrations and also helping on logistics and decorations. Behalf of T.A.T.A he announced and mentioned that T.A.T.A AC, EC and all BoDs, SCs, RVPs, RCs are always their for such festivals celebrations and help the community to be part of such events maintaining Social Distancing and measures. Finally , speaking Nithyasri KS, Prasad Vuppalapu and Ravi Nethi from Bay Area T.A.T.A Team were very excited and mentioned that they are all set for our 24th October ,2020 T.A.T.A US wide Live Virtual Bathukamma & Dussera celebrations and thanked all the guests and participants
